Welcome to Six Lakes Resort

Six Lakes Resort, nestled in the tranquil setting of Chetek, Wisconsin, offers visitors a genuine lakeside retreat with a robust rating of 4.3 stars. This resort strikes a balance between a welcoming neighborhood feel and a classic getaway destination, ideal for those seeking relaxation and community connection.

Guests frequently praise the resort’s prime location at 2535 8 7/8 Ave, which provides easy access to fishing docks and a peaceful swimming area by the lake. The cabins, such as Cabin #3, are noted for their cleanliness, comfort, and stunning deck views overlooking the water, making them perfect spots to unwind and absorb the natural beauty. The spacious sites also stand out, giving families and campers room to spread out and enjoy their stay without feeling cramped.

Despite some mixed feedback regarding the bathroom and shower facilities—often described as dated, lacking ventilation, and infrequently serviced—the overall atmosphere remains inviting. The resort’s community includes many well-behaved, lively children enjoying the playground and games, which adds a joyful and vibrant dynamic. The on-site bar, though modest in its offerings, provides a congenial space with friendly bartenders, a pool table, and a juke box, creating a charming social hub after a day outdoors.

What truly sets Six Lakes Resort apart is its harmonious blend of natural beauty, community spirit, and practical amenities. The office’s availability of bait, ice, and firewood caters well to anglers and campers alike, rounding out a stay steeped in simplicity and genuine comfort. While improvements to some facilities might enhance the experience, the resort’s allure lies in its authenticity and the sense of belonging it fosters.

For those looking to fish, relax by the lake, or simply escape the bustle of everyday life, Six Lakes Resort delivers an experience that resonates with the soul—where peaceful vistas meet heartfelt connection amidst the soothing rhythms of the lake.

I'll give four stars for the proximity to the lake. It is more of a neighborhood than an RV park. The bathroom facilities are not for RV'ers. You have to pay for hot water and it's dank. The staff don't like outsiders, but the people that live on the grounds were all friendly. Lots of kids, will behaved and having fun. The bar/pool table/juke box was a nice distraction. The area is really nice, loved our morning walks. Walked to Gilligan's for dinner one night and it was fun.

UPDATE: After enjoying our stay last summer we decided to stay for two weeks this summer. Rating went from 5 to 4 stars because of condition of bathroom/shower facility. Bathhouse is all concrete, not serviced on a regular basis, no ventilation, and has moldy showers with plenty of mosquitoes in the summer. Also, the dump station is located on the wrong side for campers leaving the park. Great location but some sites can be tough for getting in trailers longer than 30'. Laid back atmosphere, comfortable, but not full hook up luxury accommodations. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We enjoyed our time at the RV park with our motorhome. Quiet campground with a fun bar and waterfront dock (swim, bring your own kayak/boat/pontoon or rent). Most of the sites are seasonal so I am assuming getting one with full hook up for weekend stay takes planning ahead. Water and electric sites are easier to find. We stayed at site #122 and it was fine. #119 has paved parking and full hook up with easy parking for bigger rigs. There is a dump station on the property as well.

Great place to stay. My wife and I were looking for a place to get away and relax. We found it. We stayed in Cabin # 3 and it was great. Everything you need was here. The deck overlooks the lake and was a great place to just sit. Inside was clean and well kept. Even in the middle of the day the whole place was peaceful. Everyone was friendly as we walked around.

Bartenders are great. Prices are are fine. Had a once off terrible experience with the neighboring bar owner at six lakes. He had to be removed for inappropriate activities that night. Hopefully it's a one off experience. Otherwise it's always been a great place to be at

Loved it!! Clean, plenty of docks to fish from, the sites are more spacious than many others that we have been to, the office has all sorts of things on hand like bait, ice, firewood, etc. Games were nice for the kids! The bar only serves beer, pop and pizzas but after a long day that was all we needed! No beach on site but there was a swimming area at the docks and there is a public beach not far from there.
